Operating Principle
MINI-MODUL-X is the smallest version of the MODUL-X F2.5 free flow transporter line and features double plus chain. Larger center chain rollers support work piece pallets and are friction driven by smaller side rollers. Pallets resting on the center rollers are moved at 2-1/2 times chain speed, or they may be only supported by them when they are held stationary by cushioned stops.

Drive Package
END DRIVEN CONVEYORS:
MINI-MODUL-X conveyors are normally driven by SMED (side mounted, end drives). Screw type chain temsioners are not required.

CENTER DRIVEN CONVEYORS:
MINI-MODUL-X, center driven conveyors are available for use in special situations. If these conveyors are to be placed side by side in very close proximity to one another, center drives located at staggered locations along the conveyor lengths may be used. Also, center drives permit use or MINI-MODUL-X conveyors in reversing service applications.

Line Speed
Pallet speeds of ninety feet per minute are not unusual, while the chain moves at forty percent of pallet speed.

Track
Chain track is an anodized, extruded, aluminum material. The plastic rollers on the slow moving chain rides quietly on the surface.

Sprockets
Only two sprockets are used in constructing a Modul-X2.5 line. These engage the plastic side rollers of the transporter chain and are located in the drive module. A.S.A. steel sprockets serve this purpose. These sprockets provide a long service life.

Modul-X2.5 Chain
A quiet running, 3/4" pitch chain, features rollers constructed of a special grade of engineered plastic. The chain is driven at a low rate of speed due to the ability of the Modul-X2.5 chain to move pallets at 2-1/2 times chain speed. Operation is approximately 15 Db quieter than plastic outboard roller chain.

Capacity
Mini-MODUL-X2.5 conveyors are limited to fifty feet in length. Unit pallet weight per lineal foot of conveyor should not exceed 26#, although 55# per foot loading is possible if our extrusion is provided with special hard coat anodizing.
